ABC Family has assembled the main cast of its high school comedy pilot “10 Things I Hate About You,” an adaptation of the 1999 feature that in turn was based on William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew.”

This is fantastic news.  The movie was by far the best of the teen Shakespeare adaptations, and was arguably the best teen film of the 90s.  The best part of the movie was Larry Miller playing the paranoid OBGYN father of Kat and Bianca.  I really hope he comes back to reprise the role for the TV show.  He’s the only cast member I could conceivably see coming back, sort of like how Eugene Levy kept coming back for all those American Pie sequels.
